STEM High School WINS State Championship!
Posted on 04/19/2021
Qualifying teams from across Ohio participated in the VEX VRC State Championship on April 17th, 2021.  Akron's STEM High School sent 2 teams to the event.  Teams 60883C and 60883D made the trip to the Marion County Fairgrounds, it was a long day for everyone.  Team 60883D "Dougie" finished 2nd in the Skills portion of the competition falling 3 points shy of a perfect score.  Their current score is ranked 33rd in the World.  In the tournament portion, team 60883D formed an alliance with 6008D "Delta Force" from North Union High School in Richwood Ohio.  Their alliance went on to win the tournament and be crowned State Champions.  The big win qualifies team 60883D for the Virtual Worlds Championship where they will pursue that perfect skills score and hopefully improve their ranking.  It was a fantastic job out of everyone.    Students from Left to Right are Eleanor Smith, Alex Isaiah, Nikolai Radonjich, Sage Waehler, and Noah Klein.
